Private Health Fund Rebates
Our Therapists are either Occupational Therapists or Physiotherapists.
Allied Health is generally not covered under Medicare, but under Private Health cover. You can claim through your Private Health Fund for consultations as long as your cover includes extras with Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy. If you find that it covers Physiotherapy and not Occupational Therapy, just let our receptionist know when making your booking, and we will endeavour to book you in with our Physiotherapist.
Some health funds require you to have a referral letter from a doctor for you to be able to claim for any supportive braces, splints or sometimes wound care products. If you believe you may need something in addition to the consultation, and you are planning on claiming through a Private Health Fund, then it may be worthwhile seeing your doctor to get a referral prior to your appointment with us.
We do not have the HICAPS function as our bank does not have this facility, however our receptionists will produce an itemised receipt that you will be able to submit to your Health Fund to claim your entitled benefit.
